the storm
struck a bird's nest in the door -
string by string
our life song lost
its harmony
dandelion fluff
in and out of the murkiness
of my room -
if I were a gust of wind
I would close the door behind you
by fireplace
trying to fit a new hand
to the old doll -
I kept in my rebuilt life
a secret place for you
