 "The visually disturbing and symbolically rich image of the lower verse effectively complicates the issue described in the upper verse. And on second reading, the "ice bridge" ("a frozen natural structure formed over seas, bays, rivers or lake surfaces")between us works well on two levels, literal and symbolic."
