insula de peturi
își schimbă forma
în funcție de vânt

gives his classics collection
for free -
nobody but God
moving now and then

oferind colecție de clasici

nimeni, doar Dumnezeu

I go to the morgue
to identify someone
who died in a car crash

plugul de zăpadă
reface viața orașului -
mă duc la morgă
să identific pe cineva
zdrobit de mașină

for children -
some boy stepping on sea waves
holding the prize in his hands

de desene pe asfalt

un băiat calcă pe valurile mării
ținându-și strâns premiul

silent strikers gather
in the square

un câine rătăcit
așteaptă de ore
la ușa măcelariei -
greviști silențioși
se adună în piață

somebody spray-painted
white petals
around the bullet holes
in the school’s walls

petale-graffiti
în jurul găurilor
lăsate de gloanțe
în pereții școlii

public garden -
a blind boy makes flowers
from recycled stuff
and offers them
to the passers-by

grădina publică -
un copil nevăzător
face flori
din reciclabile
și le oferă trecătorilor

a slender hand
looking like a swan neck
puts the flute aside—
picking up
cigarette butts

o mână subțire
ca un gât de lebădă
lasă flautul deoparte -
culegând de pe jos
mucuri de țigară

her first boy friend
in a care home . . .
he hides his drooling smile
in the handkerchief
